Terms of use
Last updated September 18, 2026. These terms are between you and The Adventure Box, based in McKinney, Texas.
The service
We bring a mobile play trailer to birthday parties and events for ages 2–9. Packages, hours, add-ons, and deposits are listed on our pricing page. By booking, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.
Bookings and deposits
Dates on the calendar are first-come, first-served. To hold a spot we collect a deposit when you book — $150 for Birthday Blast and Movie Night, $200 for Full Adventure, and $250 for events. The deposit is applied to your remaining balance, which is due the day of the party. The deposit is what actually reserves the trailer. A date is not held until it is paid. It comes straight off your final invoice — you are not paying extra. Cancel 14 or more days out and we refund the deposit minus a $40 booking fee. Inside 14 days the deposit is non-refundable, but you can reschedule once if we have an open slot. Card payments are processed by our payment provider. A booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
Weather
The Adventure Box is an enclosed trailer, so parties run rain or shine. Light rain, heat, or a typical North Texas storm does not cancel us. If the city closes roads, issues a tornado warning for our arrival window, or your driveway is unsafe to park on, we will reschedule to the next open date at no extra charge. Weather is not a reason to cancel for a refund.
Travel
Travel is included within 50 miles of McKinney. If your party is 50–100 miles away we add a $50 travel fee at booking. Farther than 100 miles cannot be booked on the calendar — send a quote request and we will tell you if we can make the drive.
Waiver
A parent or legal guardian must sign our electronic waiver before we open the trailer. Extra grown-ups may sign as well. We look waivers up by the guardian’s last name or phone number.
Your space
You provide a level driveway or parking pad we can legally park on, adult supervision, and a movie if you booked Movie Night or Full Adventure. We bring a generator if an outdoor outlet is not handy.
Conduct
You stay on site and remain responsible for the children. We may pause or end play if the space is unsafe. You are responsible for damage beyond ordinary play wear.
Photos
If you check photo consent on the waiver, we may share event photos on our social pages. Ask us to crop faces out and we will.
Payments and refunds
Remaining balance is due when we arrive. Deposits follow the cancellation rules above. Chargebacks filed in error may be contested with our booking records and signed waiver.
Liability
Play involves sand, tools, paint, furniture, a movie screen, and other children. Ordinary scrapes, stains, and lost items are a risk of play. Except for gross negligence, you agree The Adventure Box, its owners, and staff are not liable for those ordinary play-related harms.
